Throw Away Your Washcloth

Washing your body with a washcloth is as outdated as using a cassette player. Also, if you wash your body with your bare hands then you might as well just jump in a river and call yourself clean.

Blade Mesh Shower Sponge

I just bought the Blade Mesh Shower Sponge. Normally, I would use the same type of scrubber as my girlfriends would use. They are called by many names like a poof, loofah, sponge – I’m still not certain what to call them. Anyway, until now, the “poofs” were designed for a woman’s delicate touch, and subsequently I would destroy them in a matter of days. I would usually have my current girlfriend buy them for me since they didn’t exactly come in manly colors. Now, I can proudly walk to the cashier with a “tough as nails” black body scrubber and not have to lie that this pink thing is for my girlfriend – almost as bad as picking up tampons.

The new Mesh Shower Sponge by Blade has incorporated an easy grip handle that also holds the poof thingy together after an aggressive scrubbing action. It was designed specifically for guys and works very well. The durability is very important because we need to scrub harder since we get dirtier than chicks do… well, most of them anyway.

Major Reasons to Use a Scrubber, Rather than a Washcloth (or your hands)

• Lather: Paired perfectly with a quality body wash, a great lather is what you want. Nothing gets you cleaner – that is safe to use anyway. DO NOT USE SOAP!
• Exfoliation: Removes the top layer of old dead skin leaving your body smooth, clean, and fresh.
• Sanitation: Scrubbers are made of a mesh material allowing an exit for grime. This deters against nasty fungi from growing in the device that is used to clean yourself – don’t defeat the purpose.
• Washcloths: They never actually get clean and never get thrown away. If you don’t believe me, then just give it the sniff test. That smell just transfers onto your body.

I purchased mine at CVS for about $5, and it was well worth it, making this another AMJ approved product.
