The smell of Chrome reminds me of another old favorite, CK One. They both contain notes of bergamot and cardamom, but they are clearly different. Chrome was released in 1996 following CK One in 1994.

Azzaro Chrome contains top notes of bergamot, lavender, and ginger. The middle notes are cardamom, rosewood, and sandalwood. Ivy, oakwood, and neroli comprise the base notes.

I read that Chrome is supposed to be reminiscent of moist grass fields and fruit trees – not exactly what I was thinking. To me this is an intoxicating masculine fragrance. It has a very crisp, tangy citrus scent with masculine musky base notes. I recommend it for daytime wear and I prefer to use it in spring and early summer.
