Gun Slingers

The issue of right to bear arms is highly debatable, and I don’t care to debate the issue. You either accept it or you don’t. I do believe we should consider an important aspect of personal gun control: “Thou shalt not kill.” – (Deuteronomy 5:17). Remember, “Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.” – (Romans 12:19) Clearly, vengeance is reserved for God only, and He can take care of this much better than we can (especially with our tempers). Prohibition of self-defense, or defense of one’s family can be a different story. Self-defense is not vengeance. We already know that criminals have their firepower, and they will always have a way to get it. Circumstantially, some people want to possess a firearm as a form of protection.

All things considered, if you are going to carry a firearm, then please properly secure it. FYI, sticking a gun in your pants, whether in the small of your back or in the front, is not the correct way to do it. Cops and military personnel are highly trained, and they always use holsters and for good reason – you don’t want to shoot yourself like Cheddar Bob in 8 Mile!
