Head and Shoulders Commercial with Troy Polamalu

October 14, 2009 Filed in: Hair Stuff

“You asked with your eyes, Trent. You asked with your eyes.”

Who said hair care was just for girls?

Pittsburgh Steelers safety, Troy Polamalu, has recently become the official spokesperson for Head and Shoulders®. If you think taking care of your hair is not a very manly attribute, then I challenge you to ask Troy, a two-time Super Bowl Champion, what he thinks. I think it’s great that a football player backs up what I’ve been saying for quite some time, but I doubt my friends will stop making fun of me for it. I’m not exactly as intimidating as Troy, but I don’t mind.

Support our troops!

Not only is the word being spread about the importance of healthy hair, Troy Polamalu and Head & Shoulders® are granting 7 wishes to soldiers through a partnership with Operation Once In a Lifetime (OOIAL), a non-profit organization that is making the dreams of soldiers come true. 7 wishes are being revealed weekly between September 14th and October 26th, and thousands of returning soldiers will receive Head & Shoulders® products. A “click to donate” tab can be found on the site where each click will result in Head & Shoulders® donating $1.00 to OOIAL. Head & Shoulders is also pledging thousands of bottles of shampoo to the Return Respect Program, which stocks US barracks that are currently lacking in toiletries, for returning soldiers.

“With over 200,000 soldiers returning stateside in 2009 alone, many of these men and women don’t even have the means to purchase the most basic necessities,” said Sergeant Patrick Sowers, founder of OOIAL. “Now soldiers and their families across America will receive first-hand help with the distribution of thousands of Head & Shoulders products thanks to the Return Respect Program.”

Peace,
Trent
