Ever Get Painful Lumps In Your Armpits?

It’s Probably Not Cancer.

A lump in the armpit, or lymphadenopathy, is an enlargement of one or more lymph nodes under the arm. Cancer has a possibility of being the culprit, but when isn’t it a possibility? There are various causes, but I’m going to touch on the grooming aspect. These lumps in the armpit may be caused by shaving or use of antiperspirants (as opposed to deodorants).

The solution to avoid getting these painful lumps, is to avoid strong antiperspirants. Strangely enough, my preferred brand, Right Guard Sport Fresh, is an Antiperspirant / Deodorant. Maybe it’s just the right combo for me.

    Hi Trent, yup you’re right, shaving and strong anti-perspirants are the second culprits. perhaps trying mineral anti-perspirants (Tawas) will do the trick. They are odorless with no stains on shirts, and arm pits are assured to be always dry no matter how you move. Nice posts you have here, cheers.
