Look-Good Lesson: Face Scrubs

August 10, 2008 Filed in: Face Stuff, Skincare

A good facial scrub will render smooth skin and overall younger-looking skin. If you want your anti-aging cream, serum, moisturizer, or any face product to work at its best, removing old, dead cells from your face is a must. Scrubbing your face will also prevent acne and razor burn, and it aids in skin repair after hair removal.

There are three main options for face scrubs: High-end department store scrubs, drugstore versions, or do-it-yourself face scrubs (read below). According to your budget and needs, do what works best for you.

To use the scrub you (or your girlfriend if you’re lucky) have purchased, use the following procedure:

  1. Wash your face as normal with a facial cleanser.
  2. Wash your face again, but with a facial scrubbing product. Don’t damage your skin, but do use pressure with your fingertips. It is called a “scrub” after all, so get it clean. Follow by rinsing, of course.
  3. Lastly, don’t forget those Easy Steps To Healthy Skin and follow with a good, hydrating moisturizer.

This new cleanliness you’ve probably never known, will be worth it because your face will beam just like an angel. Angels are men, and not women, by the way. They all have guys names.

Stay tuned for a DIY face scrub, made by mixing ingredients found in your kitchen!

Peace,
Trent
