Water-Based Cologne for Men

Nautica Oceans is the first water-based fragrance that even compares to it’s counterpart, alcohol-based fragrances. With strength and durability as the main obstacles in producing a quality water-based cologne, Nautica has finally pulled it off. Many men do not wear fragrance because alcohol-based formulas irritate their skin, but being water-based, Nautica Oceans solves this problem.

I love Nautica Oceans and wear it often. The fragrance is very light and refreshing and never overwhelming even when accidentally over-sprayed. Oceans is great for day-wear, especially at the office given it’s light scent.

Nautica Oceans’ scent opens with top notes of sea water/ocean air and lemon tonic. Middle notes emerge of sea salt rose, lavender reef, and geranium. The dry down ends with the base notes of amber, teak wood, and a unique “Regatta Accord”. The durability is great for a water-based fragrance, but it does fade and can be reapplied several times throughout the day if you’re trigger happy.

My favorite is actually the After Shave Balm. It smells like the cologne with what smells like some added vanilla. It smells incredible, has a clean, smooth, and silky consistency. This works great for the post-shave.
