Thinking About Rockin’ Some Crocs?

November 13, 2008 Filed in: Fashion

No, not the fugly ones!

I’m going to sound like Captain Obvious here  when I say, “Women usually get their way.” Especially when it comes to shoes. Here I am with just a few pair of shoes, and my girlfriend’s shoe collection takes up the entire closet. Sure, it’s my own fault since I didn’t out-buy her, but how many pairs of shoes do you really need? I realized how bad the epidemic was when I tried to organize our closet. I was left with a small space for my own shoes. The sacrifices we make.

My Next Shoe Purchase

crocodile shoesI am eyeing these crocs pretty hard. They are part crocodile and part leather with a pig skin lining. Very nice :-D I am going to have to shell out for these. My current favorite shoes are similar in shape, but not as sweet as these are!

There are so many great shoes out there for men, so there’s no excuse for not looking the part. We can finally enjoy going shoe shopping, as long as we follow two rules. These rules cannot be broken under any circumstance. We’ll call these Trent Durdan’s rules to shoe shopping:

1) We buy at least one pair of shoes for ourselves.
2) The girlfriend needs to finish in 20 minutes - 18 minutes longer than what we take.

Peace,
Trent

I agree, they are hot. They would actually be a perfect compliment to a pair of sharp toe kitten heels from Isaac Mizrahi I bought last year. Though yours would be a bit more expensive (actually more than a bit), I am just happy that mine still look good and are holding up well.

I think I’m in that percentage of women who could care or less for shoes. I’m not even a “shopping” type of person. I’m in and out at malls & stores.

    Those shoes are hot though!

Dude PETA will be all up on your ass, but those are hot.

Yeah f%&k that 20 minute limit. I am the fastest shopper ever though because I *hate* when Donny breathes down my neck so I haul ass to get my shopping done in those two minutes he’s occupied looking for his own ish.

As cheap as I am when it comes to shoes, I’d rock the Aldo version of the one you posted… Animal skin is no matter to me!

those look nice! i would pick a different color just because the black kind of hides the neat texture :) but black is also classic!

Stylishh! They’re definitely all the rage.
And mate, c’mon, what is wrong with having an entire wardrobe just full of shoes? They’re too pretty to resist.

I agree with you that a man has a corner for shoe and a lady has a rack (atleast)! We don’t need them or say we aren’t so fashionable that we go for a pair of shoes with every dress :) … Anyways the shoes shown here are really good but then it depends a lot on your physique. If you fall short in height, these won’t suit you. But, nice choice for those with good built.

After I get my new shoes home, I have to try them on again and walk around in them. Just curious…do metro guys do that too or is it just a girl thang? (I’m into rubber crocs myself but those are nice!) :o)

You know what’s funny… last time I was out shoe shopping with my Boyfriend (he was just looking for black dress shoes), I was saying to him how guys must get sooo bored because you guys have such a limited selection of shoes. Well not “limited” since there were a lot but they all look the same to me! I mean where are the purple shoes.. the leopard print ones … etc? LOL. Actually I’d rather there not be those for guys like my boyfriend but you get my drift? =P =P

Those are really nice though.. super classy!

Those shoes are very nice! The fact that they are made of great material makes them so much more worth getting! Come to think of it, I haven’t bought new shoes since August. Now, you’ve got me thinking.

Rule # 2 is the most important of all, I surely won’t forget.

Precisely why I don’t live with my girl. I value my closet space!

How much is this pair? I’ve heard Crocs lost a lot of revenues because men realized how they look wearing those ugly sandals. Now this design is pretty cool….might up their revenues back.
